TERMS & CONDITIONS
The student must complete the registration form and make full payment for the entire session before the beginning of courses.
Registration is considered official and complete only when La Maison des Arts Rive-Sud (MARS) has received the registration form and full payment for the entire course or workshop.
Upon registering, the student becomes a member of La Maison des Arts Rive-Sud, which gives him/her the right to vote at the annual general meeting. A fee of $1.00 is included in the course fee.
1.1- PAYMENT: METHODS OF PAYMENT, CURRENCY:
Several methods of payment are offered: by cash or by cheque, and since August 2018 payment by debit card or credit card via MARS website are now accepted. Transactions made by debit or credit cards MARS ensure client information confidentiality. The system is protected by Moneris (Bank of Montreal). These transactions are coded and secure.
All payments must be made in full, for the total amount due.
All payments must be made in Canadian dollars.
When registration is done by cheque, MARS will deposit the cheque only after the first course or the workshop.
2. WHEN A COURSE IS FULL: TRANSFER OR CANCELLATION AND REIMBURSEMENT
When a course is complete, students who register afterwards will be advised and given the possibility of transferring their registration to another course or of receiving a total reimbursement.
2.2-CANCELLATION BY LA MAISON DES ARTS RIVE-SUD
La Maison des Arts Rive-Sud reserves the right to cancel a course, conference or workshop if there is an insufficient number of registrations. MARS will refund the total cost (registration plus any materials if required) by cheque via mail. No fee will be withheld.
If a course is cancelled due to poor weather, a holiday or because of a teacher’s absence, MARS will offer a make-up course or provide a substitute teacher.
2.3- CANCELLATION BY THE STUDENT
2.3.1- Before the 1st course
MARS will refund the total amount sent (registration plus any materials if required) by returning a cheque via mail. No fee will be withheld.
If the student has paid the amount by cheque to MARS, the refund can be made either by cheque from MARS or the student’s cheque can be destroyed by a shredder.
2.3.2- After the 1st course
Reimbursement of courses not taken: less 10% of this refundable amount as administration fee.
3. CONFIDENTIALITY AND SECURITY

CODE OF CONDUCT – HANDLING OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
3.1.1– use personal information provided in the registration process for its organizational requirements ONLY whether for the production of tax receipts or for personal correspondence.
3.1.2- not conserve any personal file. Registration forms are destroyed after two years.
3.1.3- not transmit any personal information received during registration to any third party whether for publicity or other purposes, except with the explicit permission of the student.
3.2.1- Payments by debit or credit card will be handled by Moneris (https://www.moneris.com).
3.2.2- Moneris will deposit the amounts received directly to the Bank of Montreal (https://www.bmo.com).
3.2.3- Daily financial operations are the responsibility of the Treasurer, duly named by the Board of Administration.
3.2.4- Annual financial statements are duly revised by a recognized accounting firm, then adopted by the Board of Administration and deposited at the Annual General Meeting.
